Which "coach?"
Finding the right practitioner.
New Podcast Episode! Episode 55: Guardrails! “How do we make sure that the amount of training is right? That it’s not too much? That it’s enough? Matti and I talk about the different ways of monitoring load, phsyiology, stress, and some systems of how to use them together.”
Book is here. People are loving it. You will too.
Also, I still have two spots for one male and one female skimo racer whose goal is to be top-10 (or higher) at USA Skimo Nationals in the next three years (or similar level in your country). This will be a discounted rate ($300/month), and may include small other tasks depending on the athlete (maybe some social media posts, or podcasts interviews about your training, etc.). More information HERE.
There are few phrases that generate The Ick for me more than someone saying “find your why.” I don’t exactly know why (pun accepted), I’ve just seen coaches and practitioners use it in a way that made me somehow smell patchouli and pull a muscle from rolling my eyes so hard.
But, as I often (but not always) find, some clichés are around for a reason. And so as much as it pains me, I think this is one worth exploring.
You see, I think that there is a continuum of “why” that’s important to explore, because there’s also a continuum of actions and choices and costs, and you need to make them match!
